A longtime Paris resident and French-American bi-national, Harriet is an author, journalist, and speaker on Franco-American cultural differences who teaches journalism at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris  (Sciences Po). 

Her light-hearted but informative books, French Toast  and French Fried, both published by St. Martin's Press, encapsulate Harriet's French experience with humor and verve.  

Harriet is married to Philippe Rochefort, a retired French executive who is presently working on his doctorate in History at the Sorbonne.  Harriet and Philippe live in the trendy east of Paris in an apartment with a tiny lawn... just big enough to mow.  Harriet loves her garden and all Paris gardens.  The picture above shows Harriet in one of her favorite Paris haunts, the gardens of the Palais Royal.
